Most shop owners are not stuck on old software because they love it. They are stuck because of the move. Years of customer history, open invoices and equipment records have to go somewhere. The fear is a messy week where the dispatcher can't find anything and the office is typing everything twice.
We built the move so that doesn't happen. And we don't hand you a manual and wish you luck. Setup is hands-on. Bring your questions, and we will work through them with you.
Your old system keeps running
Moving starts with files, not a switch you flip. You export your data from your old system as CSV or Excel files. Your old system is not shut off and is not changed. Your dispatcher keeps dispatching. Your office keeps billing. Nothing stops while your history moves over. There is no day when the shop has to go dark.
If you are coming from ServiceTitan, its exports are already mapped. The columns land where they belong, and you don't map them by hand. Customers and their addresses come across. So do your services, parts and equipment, the equipment at your customers' sites, your jobs, and your invoices with what was paid on them.
Invoices keep their original amounts. We don't re-tax them or rebuild them. What your customer was billed is what Field Lightning shows.
A preview before anything is saved
Before anything goes live, a preview runs. Every row gets checked, and nothing is saved while it does. If a row has a problem, the preview shows it before it can touch your data. Rows that won't import are listed, so nobody is guessing.
When the preview looks right, the data comes in. Then you can open Field Lightning, look up a customer you know well, and see their history where you expect it.
If it's not right, undo it
A finished import can be undone. Undo removes what that import added. Then the file gets fixed, the preview runs again, and the data comes in again. It is not a one-way door.
That matters because the worst part of any move is the point of no return. We would rather you feel safe than rushed.
We work by a simple rule: win/win or no deal. A move that doesn't work for you doesn't work for us either. So we help you go at the pace that gets your history in clean.
