We build software for the people who keep the lights on.

And the water running, and the air cold. Field Lightning is field service software for electricians, HVAC techs and plumbers, made in 100+ degree heat in Phoenix, Arizona.

Most shop software was built for the office.

Then it was handed to the field as an afterthought. Small buttons, gray text, menus five levels deep. A tech on a roof in July can’t use that, so they don’t. The office spends the evening retyping what happened.

We built Field Lightning the other way around. The tech’s phone comes first. If a screen works on a ladder, in full sun, with gloves on, it will work at a desk.

Then we connected the whole job. The call, the estimate, the visit, the time, the invoice and the payment live on one record, so nobody types the same thing twice.

Always be helping.

A lot of software in this trade is backed by private equity and built to turn your techs into sales reps. Upsell scripts, quotas, pressure at the kitchen table. We don’t build that, and we won’t.

Fix the problem. Tell the customer the truth. Give them real options and let them choose. Do that every time, and the sales take care of themselves.

Win/Win or no deal.

How we work, with each other and with you.

  • Mess up, own up

When we get it wrong, we say so first and make it right.

  • Call BS when you see it

Straight talk, with each other and with you. No spin.

  • Tools before hires

Good tools let a small crew do big work. That goes for your shop and for ours.

  • Win/Win or no deal

Good for your shop and good for your customer, or we don’t do it.

  • Deliver value fast

Small, useful improvements, shipped often. No waiting a year for a fix.

We build for crews who work outside in the heat, because we live in it. Give us a call.
